The Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, to start in August 2026. This is a three-year, 9- month contract position with a possibility of renewal based on the performance. Candidates are expected to show an outstanding record, strong interest and an ability to teach a diverse student body. The Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering is part of the College of Engineering and Science - Florida Tech's largest college and is committed to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence in teaching and research, with the goal of setting the stage for research-based and innovative pedagogies that foster student engagement, learning, and success. We seek individuals with expertise and interest in instruction and curriculum design for mathematics courses with an ability to clearly communicate in the classroom with a good understanding of curricular objectives and learner's needs and abilities. The position requires teaching up to four courses per semester. Having an expertise in developing or implementing teaching innovation tools is a plus.
