About The Position

This position performs various electro neurodiagnostic procedures that include, but are not limited to, electroencephalography (EEG). This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED. College credits in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, biology, biochemistry, physics is highly beneficial or graduate from an accredited END program preferred.
• BLS certification is required. Certification from American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists is recommended within 2 ½ years of employment date. Ability to demonstrate competencies required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1-year experience in EEG diagnostics under Registered Technician or Neurologist is preferred.
• Acute hospital patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the immediate needs of the neurology patient/client in collaboration with the primary caregiver (family or nursing staff). Patient/client developmental age will range from 1 year old to geriatric.
• Clips and archives video data for storage and retrieval of diagnostic procedures.
• Performance of adult and pediatric routine EEG.
• Completes billing functions.
• Learns to fully document long-term video EEG monitoring set-up, daily recording, archiving, and equipment takedown.
