About The Position

The Engineering Manager – Industrialization is accountable for leading the engineering industrialization activities required to expand generator manufacturing capacity at GE Vernova. This role owns the translation of generator design intent and performance requirements into qualified, executable engineering requirements for internal generator supply chain operations and external suppliers. Aligned with GE Vernova’s Engineering Manager architecture, this role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and operational accountability to deliver results that meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, or power generation environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own engineering accountability for industrialization of generator parts and components supporting capacity growth initiatives.
  • Ensure engineering solutions comply with GE Vernova standards, regulatory requirements, and EHS expectations.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-assembly (DFA), and process capability alignment.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, risk assessments, and readiness milestones.
  • Lead engineering readiness for generator production ramp-ups and capacity expansion.
  • Identify technical risks related to manufacturability, scalability, and supplier capability; drive mitigation actions.
  • Support NPI, design changes, and technology transfers impacting generator supply chain capacity.
  • Communicate and qualify engineering requirements for generator parts and components with internal manufacturing, sourcing, and operations teams.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality to ensure production readiness and sustainable throughput.
  • Support internal audits, process validations, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Own engineering engagement with external generator suppliers.
  • Communicate technical requirements, specifications, and standards to suppliers and ensure understanding and feasibility.
  • Lead supplier technical qualification, first article approval, and production ramp-up support in partnership with Sourcing and Supplier Quality.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers in alignment with GE Vernova leadership behaviors.
  • Set clear goals, provide performance feedback, and support technical skill development.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering governance, change management, and configuration control processes.
  • Approve engineering changes related to capacity growth and industrialization.
  • Drive standardization, reuse, and lessons learned across generator platforms.
