About The Position

The Non-Interventional Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through non-invasive evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of heart disease. This role focuses on outpatient and inpatient cardiology care, interpretation of non-invasive diagnostic studies, preventive cardiology, and long-term management of cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered practices.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility
  • Expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics and medical management
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning skills
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
  • Ability to manage complex and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • Commitment to evidence-based, high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
  • Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care and inpatient consultation services as needed
  • Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies, such as echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory rhythm monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor therapeutic response
  • Participate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, and other specialists
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
  • Supervise and educate residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers as applicable
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
