About The Position

NOC technician has the responsibility of monitoring, troubleshooting, and documenting problems with the SSFCU's network infrastructure seven day a week, twenty-four hour a day. Monitors SSFCU's network infrastructure using network management software applications, assisting to identify and rectify problems or to increase efficiency. Performs first line problem determination and take appropriate action to correct any alarm condition. Escalates more involved problems to the appropriate Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams. Tracks issues to resolution updating the internal knowledgebase. Assists with maintaining system architecture network diagrams. Monitors the application issues and effectively communicates resolutions and workarounds to affected parties. Provide proactive hourly data center walkthroughs to ensure all physical aspects are in accordance with data center standards. Install, uninstall and support networking equipment, servers, and related IT systems. Responsibilities include network, disk, storage and compute racks as well as HVAC, Power Consumption and Power Generation. As needed will assist in maintaining accurate documentation of systems, operational and incident/outage resolution procedures. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of technology and financial related field experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other desktop related software
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ensure incident details are communicated with the appropriate level of technical depth when addressing different groups of the Credit Union
  • Able to multi-task and solve multiple trouble issues simultaneously in a high stress environment
  • Able to work independently and/or as a part of a team
  • Able to learn and retain information in a fast pace environment
