Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Nuclear Materials Control & Accountability (NMC&A) Specialist provides support to the NMC&A program, including item monitoring, processing of paperwork, data entry, accounting support, procedure revision and other duties as assigned. What You Will Be Doing: Enters nuclear material transaction receipts and related paperwork are properly entered into accounting records and reported Revises and implements procedure changes in accordance with programmatic and management guidance as needed to support program needs Revise the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP) as directed by management to establish nuclear material safeguards for changing plant processes and configurations Provides training on NMC&A topics per management direction Prepares and reviews correspondence and data being sent to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) Input, track, and complete actions and subtasks in a corrective action tracking system Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner Other duties and tasks as assigned by management Decision Making and Impact: Works under general supervision and does not supervise others Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Requires attention to detail Works effectively under pressure and within time constraints Works effectively with others, including peers, management, and regulators Manages workload and quickly/easily changes focus as priorities/work needs changed
