About The Position

Night Shift Cattle Scheduler is a key corporate level role in the operations of JBS Regional Beef plants, connecting cattle procurement to cattle receiving and cattle processing operations at the plants. The position is based out of Green Bay, WI. Primary responsibilities: Relie ve Day Shift Cattle Schedulers, by fielding remaining incoming calls and wrapping up final load details Assure that cattle are scheduled and arrive for each slaughter day at Regional Beef Plants Schedule cattle according to the Predicted Kill Schedule mix Assign delivery slots/appointments to maintain an adequate flow of cattle Resolve trucking issues that occur during evening hours Hire and dispatch haulers where JBS is responsible for the freight or to assist a supplier Data entry of all purchases turned in while working Communicate with buyers to ensure all information is turned in. As the data entered from these purchases is critical in the accurate settlement with suppliers, attention to detail is critical in this role. Develop a good and appropriate working relationship with : Day shift schedulers Supervisor Head of Procurement - Regional Beef Plants Terminal Manager s - JBS Carriers Suppliers to be scheduled Haulers to be hired or assigned delivery appointments Barn Manager s - Regional Beef Plant s Cattle Accounting team s - Regional Beef Plant s Create and distribute reports to all appropriate stakeholders

Requirements

Familiarity with the transportation or livestock transportation industry gives the candidate a head start
Cattle Schedulers utilize a web-based custom computer system which is used to record all purchased cattle, all scheduling details, and payment to sellers. In this role, there will be data entry of purchase agreements and hauling details required
Skills in Microsoft Excel are utilized daily
Schedulers should be proficient in Excel
Candidate should be proficient at the keyboard , including the ten keypad on the keyboard
Good communication skills with schedulers, buyers, suppliers, haulers, and plant personnel
Work independently

Responsibilities

Relieve Day Shift Cattle Schedulers, by fielding remaining incoming calls and wrapping up final load details
Assure that cattle are scheduled and arrive for each slaughter day at Regional Beef Plants
Schedule cattle according to the Predicted Kill Schedule mix
Assign delivery slots/appointments to maintain an adequate flow of cattle
