About The Position

Work under the supervision of the Cattle Manager and in alignment with animal health protocols developed by our staff veterinarian. Perform daily pen checks to visually evaluate cattle for symptoms of illness, stress, or injury. Accurately diagnose and administer appropriate treatments, including injections, oral medications, or topical applications. Record all treatments and observations using standardized documentation systems to maintain animal health compliance. Assist with necropsies and contribute to evaluations of treatment outcomes. Communicate health concerns with other cattle teams, including pen riders and processing crew. Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of animal health tools, medicines, and equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or completion of technical/trade school preferred but not required.
Experience in cattle handling or livestock care is strongly preferred.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and shift tasks as needed.

Nice To Haves

BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) certification in any segment is a plus.
