This position involves the oversight of the day-to-day night operation of the property, including front desk operations, and financial reconciliation and reporting. The role requires adherence to all procedures to ensure that front office activities and services meet or exceed established standards and goals. The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data, and for assisting guests, team members, and vendors during their shift. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, reporting security concerns and problematic situations immediately to the General Manager or appropriate party, and responding to and resolving guest issues and concerns. The role also involves evaluating patterns or trends in guest concerns to plan and implement corrective actions, and providing regular and ongoing communication with all departments to keep staff informed of updates, changes, and problematic situations. Additionally, the Night Auditor ensures the front office, reception area, lobby, and storage areas are clean and organized, and that all equipment is properly maintained, functioning, and used only as intended. Routine property walks are completed to monitor guest safety and security.
