Description: Provides optimal nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The Nutrition Care Process includes nutritional assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, and nutrition monitoring and evaluation. Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates nutrition education individualized to the patient/client needs. Precepts dietetics and other health professional students, participates in onboarding of new hires, and supports departmental continuing education. Provides support outside of patient facing responsibilities including but not limited to collaboration with supply chain, food services and speech therapy. Independently orders diets, supplements and tube feeding as approved by medical staff office at each facility.
