About The Position

7Ardmore East is an Interventional Cardiology Unit with a mixed level that provides both Intermediate Care (IMC) and Floor level patients with complex cardiovascular needs. This unit is fast-paced and highly specialized, requiring advanced clinical skills and critical thinking. Patient Population Heart Failure Patients : Including those requiring advanced therapies and close hemodynamic monitoring. STEMI and Acute Coronary Syndrome : Post-emergent interventions and stabilization. Procedural Patients : Recovering from Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab) interventions such as PCI, ablations, and device placements. Mechanical Circulatory Support : Patients with Impella 5.5 devices and other advanced cardiac assist devices. Complex Cardiac Cases : Including arrhythmia management, structural heart interventions, and high-risk PCI. Care Level IMC Level Care : Continuous cardiac monitoring, titration of vasoactive medications, and management of invasive lines. Mixed Floor : Balancing procedural recovery with chronic cardiac conditions, requiring adaptability and prioritization. Environment Challenging and Fast-Paced : Frequent admissions from the Cath and EP labs, rapid changes in patient acuity, and multidisciplinary collaboration. High-Tech and Innovative : Utilization of advanced devices and therapies for critically ill cardiac patients. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
