About The Position

This Cardiac Nursing Inpatient Unit provides specialized care for adult patients experiencing acute and chronic cardiac conditions. The patient population includes individuals admitted with Myocardial infarctions (MI), and those recovering from pacemaker insertions, Trans Aortic Valve Replacements, LVADS, and patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring through Swans-Ganz catheters. The unit also manages intermediate level heart failure patients who require close monitoring, medication titration, and multidisciplinary coordination to support stabilization and recovery. Nursing care on the unit focuses on continuous cardiac monitoring, early recognition of cardiac complications, and evidence-based interventions to optimize patient outcomes. The team collaborates closely with cardiology, advanced practice providers and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. The unit is a 2 time Beacon Award Winning unit that serves as a critical bridge between intensive care and general medical-surgical units, providing a high-acuity environment where nurses utilize advanced clinical skills and cardiac expertise to deliver safe and compassionate care. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Less then 1 year of RN experience.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
