The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line-of-sight supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a clinical setting, participating in the patient care delivery process and orienting to RN assignments, excluding independent nursing care. This role may involve medication administration under the direct supervision of a licensed RN. The Nursing Graduate position is temporary, lasting up to 12 weeks, during which employees are enrolled in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and prepare for the State Boards examination to obtain an RN license. If the employee fails the State Board exam a second time or exceeds the 12-week period without obtaining licensure and being hired into another qualified role, their employment in this position will be terminated. Direct patient care, even under supervision, requires enrollment and commencement of coursework in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program.
