About The Position

The Job Processor plays a vital role in maintaining the efficient flow of work orders through the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for reviewing job routers, prioritizing tasks, kitting materials, and ensuring all necessary components are available and staged to meet production schedules. Working closely with multiple departments, the Job Processor ensures timely execution of jobs to meet customer demands while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting internal production goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
  • Solid communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Competent in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred), tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder assembly and machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review all job routers placed in the job tray and process accordingly.
  • Separate stroke part tickets and place them at the designated locations within 24 hours of manufacturing release.
  • Maintain a lead time of 7–10 days to accommodate rush orders efficiently.
  • Use routers received from sales/engineering to determine job priority, pull materials, and kit parts onto the conveyor.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely receipt of components and on-schedule processing of kitted trays.
  • Return completed I-jobs to their designated areas.
  • Track low or depleted stock components and initiate replenishment by submitting inventory need tickets to purchasing.
  • Assist with moving completed components to job pans or other locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and inventory flow.
