About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Onboarding Specialist to support the onboarding of Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) onto our SaaS-based advisory platform. This is an entry-level role designed for candidates with related academic or early professional experience in finance, business, or wealth management who are interested in growing their career in financial technology. Under direct supervision, the Onboarding Specialist will assist with executing onboarding tasks and work closely with Advisors, Client Relationship, Operations, and Client Support teams to help ensure a smooth and well-organized transition onto the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience in financial services, fintech, SaaS, or wealth management (internship or entry-level experience considered)
  • Basic understanding of Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) business models, advisory workflows, or wealth management concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately in a deadline-driven environment
  • Comfort working with software platforms, project management tools, and configuration-based processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively between clients and internal teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at or with an RIA, fintech firm, or wealth management platform
  • Exposure to advisor technology such as portfolio management systems, CRMs, custodians, or reporting tools
  • Prior experience assisting with client onboarding or platform implementations

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day onboarding tasks for new advisors joining the platform by following established workflows and timelines
  • Guide new clients through the onboarding and implementation process, ensuring smooth adoption of the SMArtX platform
  • Assist with advisor firm setup, including profile configuration, data entry, and validation of required information
  • Support data migration activities by reviewing data for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate onboarding steps with internal teams to help ensure setup milestones are completed on time
  • Assist advisors with initial platform access, basic navigation, and onboarding-related questions
  • Track onboarding progress and update internal systems, checklists, and Jira boards
  • Help maintain onboarding documentation and support ongoing process improvements
  • Assist with post-launch follow-ups to help ensure advisors are successfully live on the platform
