Role Our New Business team is responsible for bringing in new business across the US, with a focus on institutional companies including hedge funds, asset managers, investment banks and CLO managers. The team establishes business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry. Our team is based in our New York City office, and operates on a hybrid, 3 days/week schedule.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a quota-carrying full-cycle new business / new logos sales role, with demonstrated ability to hit and exceed targets
  • Experience selling financial research, analytics or data (preferably credit) to the buyside and/or sell side
  • Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly; ability to keep on top of all requirements with multiple ongoing workstreams
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Establish business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options
  • Manage all facets of the sales cycle to exceed annual targets including pitching, demoing, negotiating and closing deals
  • Identify competitive advantages by understanding how current subscribers leverage our products
  • Interface with prospects and communicate the value of all Octus products
