Under general supervision and in accordance with established protocols and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), AES, and ABRET guidelines, performs a minimum of (2) Neurophysiology modalities, required is electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures, and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS/EMG), intra-operative monitoring (IONM), Autonomics, or Evoked Potentials (EP). Reviews patient medical records and physician orders; explains procedures to patients and family members to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation; and prepares and positions patients, applying electrodes using standardized measurement systems. Operates Neurophysiology equipment, performs routine calibrations and related testing procedures, identifies and documents artifacts and patient behaviors, and accurately records technical data, observations, and test conditions to ensure high-quality, diagnostically useful studies. Supports after hours and weekend on-call per department needs/policies. Travel between sites may be required/requested based on operational needs.
