About The Position

The Department of Neurology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an academic Neurocritical Care Intensivist. The successful candidate will provide neurocritical care services at UT Southwestern’s Clements University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital (THD). The position will involve teaching neurocritical care fellows, neurology and neurosurgery residents an supervision of Neurocritical Care Advanced Proctice Providers. Faculty members are expected to participate in academic and clinical research activities. Possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas Completion of a Fellowship in Neurocritical Care or equivalent training. Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, or the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Neurology and applicable credentialing and privileging standards for neurosurgery. Certification by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialities (UCNS) or the Neurosurgical Committee on Subspeciality Training (CAST). Demonstrated excellence in clinical medicine, interpersonal interactions, communication, and teamwork skills. Motivated self-starter with a commitment to excellence. Requirements

  • Possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
  • Completion of a Fellowship in Neurocritical Care or equivalent training.
  • Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, or the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Neurology and applicable credentialing and privileging standards for neurosurgery.
