About The Position

The Neurology Department at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an outstanding established academic Neuromuscular Researcher to lead their Neuromuscular Section. The Neuromuscular Section at UT Southwestern is nationally recognized for clinical care, education and research with outstanding fauclty who have a wide range of expertise including notable programs in myastenia gravis, myositis, motor neuron disease and muscular dystrophies. We provide clinical care as well as neurodiagnostics (EMG/NCS, autonomic testin, neuromuscular ultrasound, skin & muscle biopsy). The section provides fellowship training for up to 3 neuromuscular fellows per year and has organized an annual national neuromuscular symposium for the past 44+ years. Clinical research is supported by a team of clinical research coordinators. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a recognized expert in a subspeciality neuromuscular area and have a track record of funded clinical translational research. The successful candidate will recruit additional faculty and develop research programs.
