About The Position
TEKsystems is hiring for a well-rounded Systems/Network Administrator for one of our clients that works in refining crude oil, marketing fuels and midstream logistics. This role requires unique experience in industrial controls, so please do NOT apply without the following REQUIRED expertise. Industrial Controls: Systems similar to those used in lumber mills, power grids, municipalities, critical facilities. Examples: Honeywell, Foxboro Networking: Routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP - Cisco shop Server Administration: Windows environment. AD, GPOs, etc. Virtual Systems: Comfortable with virtualization and hardware. Team Overview: Team: Operational Technology (OT) team responsible for industrial-grade control systems operating the Martinez plant. Nature of Work: Self-sufficient team handling server deployments, network setups, firewalls, and overall infrastructure. Everything is self-contained—team members must manage end-to-end operations. Manual deployments (no SCCM or Intune or automation really). Cisco shop, transitioning partially to Arista. Cisco Firepower for security. Support 200 end users, 12 servers, and a few hundred switches. No on-call rotation Description • Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration • Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software • Has detailed knowledge of database design and implementation, uses data software packages to ensure data integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and security as well as recovers corrupted data and eliminates data redundancy • Ensures the integrity of the application and data
