About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Network Monitoring Lead to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA. Peraton has served as the prime contractor for this program since its inception in the 1980's. We provide high-level government leaders with reliable secure voice, video, and fax communications anytime, anywhere, in any environment in support of day-to-day operations. We support a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications allowing complex national and worldwide communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components. We provide integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and engineering support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions.

Requirements

  • An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
  • BA/BS in IT (or similar technical field) and eight (8+) years relevant experience; Masters and 6+ years; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A current/valid IAT LVL II Certification.
  • Expert on network monitoring at enterprise level to include WAN, LAN, hardware and applications.
  • Prior experience leading people, projects, or teams
  • Understanding of classified IT system architectures and multi-site connections
  • Experience with SolarWinds design, deployment and maintenance.
  • Experience leading and managing IT requirements and executing project management schedules through completion
  • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
  • Ability to coordinate with other sites, business areas, programs and functional areas to coordinate daily operations as well as program coordination and adoption

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to establish enterprise event monitoring and management, performance monitoring, and analysis services.
  • Provide centralized operations, monitoring, reporting, management, and analysis of enterprise applications, systems, and core services.
  • Support operational management functions ensuring alignment with event, incident, problem, and change management frameworks.
  • Oversee incident detection, escalation, and resolution processes, ensuring rapid response and minimal service disruption.
  • Manage and optimize operational work-flows, including Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, aligned with ITIL best practices.
  • Provide workforce education and mentoring to maintain the IT operations, IT System Administration, and Network Engineering culture across programs.
  • Develop and maintain network and system dashboards for real-time operational metrics to support enterprise decision-making.
