About The Position

The Network Infrastructure Technician is responsible for installing, removing, rearranging, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining network services across the MWFN fiber network. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail who can work efficiently and independently to ensure reliable network performance and service quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, college or military preferred
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance, along with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and other employees of the organization, which requires excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with aggressive deadline requirements
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Visio and Google Earth
• Some travel required. This role will be responsible for serving a broad geographical area
• Ability to work hours outside of normal schedule with little or no advance notification required

Responsibilities

• Installation of complex network hardware
• Complete performance testing and setup of installed services
• Provide prompt response to network issues; conducting preventive network repair
• Maintain backhaul network; repairing network outages
• Work with high voltage AC and DC electrical systems
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, replace, and upgrade components
• Document resolutions/technical information in a central location
• Perform daily checks to ensure system availability
• Travel to work sites
• Other duties as assigned
