About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Network Engineer to join our team! As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall performance, reliability and security of the entire Shell Point information systems network including equipment used for resident support. Requirements

  • Technical expertise and knowledge of computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, excel and Outlook with a working knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to complete projects and work independently, timely and efficiently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 valid IT certification in the domains of cloud security, route/switch, or security.
  • At least one year of progressive experience supporting corporate network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the enterprise level infrastructure and systems and resolves problems with a goal of 100% uptime for systems as possible. 99.5% minimum required.
  • Maintains security and protection for data in accordance with all laws, regulations, and standard operating practices (HIPAA, PCI, NIST).
  • Troubleshoot basic issues by checking and verifying logs, Google searches, AI, and technical documentation by vendor before initiating a disruptive change.
  • Researches, recommends, installs, and supports network equipment, servers, hardware, and software for both new installs and upgrades.
  • Maintains network diagrams and documentation.
  • Patch and reboot network equipment in regular maintenance cycle determined by the IT Manager and IT Director.
  • Reports unresolved issues to the IT Manager and IT Director and records problem resolution in required logs.
  • Adheres to Change Management policies.
  • Documents all activity in ticketing system.
  • Experience with Cisco, FortiGate, and Brocade/Ruckus equipment or equivalent.
  • Participates in phone support and on-call rotations.
  • Work with Windows servers and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned.
