About The Position

Network Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network DoD needs. As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills in network and computer systems to help support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve network issues and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You’ll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization . Using your experience in software and hardware firewalls you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with networking hardware and software
  • 3+ years of experience operating U.S. Department of Defense Networks
  • Experience with LAN or WAN interfacing, security, internet protocols, and TCP/IP
  • Experience with engineering data, voice, and video networks
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
  • Experience with working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification
  • Certified Cyber Intelligence Professional (CCIP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
