About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a seasoned, experienced technical leader to drive automation and solutions strategy for our technology organization. In this role, you will: Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk maintaining the enterprise network Collaborate with network engineers and Information Technology Team to design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development Manage network, delegate tasks and ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Network Engineering team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Network Engineering functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility Create and implement network security measures Develop a backup disaster recovery plan for a network emergency Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including managers Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Network Engineering Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical staff through complex technology strategy and automation initiatives
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and manage a fast paced and continuously changing environment
  • Strong understanding of network automation fundamentals, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible RedHat, GitHub, HPNA, PowerShell)
  • High-level knowledge of Arista, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Viptela, and FortiNet
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor individual contributors and less experienced managers
