We are looking for a Network Engineer III to support a highly visible project with a scope that includes providing JWICS service to local and enterprise customer bases worldwide. This role will be onsite, full-time at JBSA-Lackland in San Antonio, TX.

Requirements

  • A TS/SCI security clearance is required

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and sustain enterprise network solutions across LAN/WAN and data center environments in direct support of AFSCI mission systems and intelligence operations
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis to rapidly resolve network outages and performance degradations impacting mission execution
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, and redundancy of core network services to support continuous ISR and mission-critical communications
  • Lead network architecture planning, engineering, and modernization initiatives aligned with Air Force enterprise standards and evolving mission requirements
  • Configure, harden, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancing solutions within classified and unclassified environments
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force security frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIGs, Zero Trust principles)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, cybersecurity, and application owners to enable secure, reliable, and scalable mission capabilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with contract and mission requirements
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, strengthening team capability and mission readiness
