About The Position

About the Role: The Network Engineer is responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. Primary focus for this position is the overall support for the enterprise data network and data centers, working on day to day operations and patching. The Engineer will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. This position may include directing other associates in their tasks. Design solutions with other teams to support new or updated technologies. Administer datacenter switches, routers, and firewalls. Design telephony, datacenter and/or branch overall network infrastructure including drawings and diagrams, ensuring the solutions are taken all the way through to operational status. Responsible for support of network technologies, software, systems, and services Monitor for network outages and performance issues. Maintain version and configuration control of network devices. Coordinate with circuit vendors for outages. Develop other engineers’ technical knowledge and expertise. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. Diploma/GED (preferred) Bachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology (preferred) 7-10 years — experience support Cisco networks. (Preferred) Advanced experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and other network services (DHCP, DNS, VoIP, QOS). Advanced experience with SD WAN solutions Advanced experience with Meraki switches, APs and MX devices Experience with datacenter gear (Cisco Nexus 7k, 5k, 2k, 9k, ISR, ASR). Advanced with testing tools and procedures for data networks. Advanced telephony, branch and datacenter router, switch, and firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Proficient customer service skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Travel Requirements Occasional The pay range for this role is $70,000.00 - $144,000.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
