General Summary Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and repair of BioBridge Global and its subsidiaries’ network. Support all network information technology components (switches, routers, voice, access points, firewalls, etc.). Will also be responsible for the analyses of costs associated with the network infrastructure, negotiations with vendors, and the collaboration of LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN strategy with senior management. Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes. It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
  • Requires seven or more years of network administration experience in a large multi-location enterprise.
  • Requires four or more years of senior level experience in network administration.
  • Requires one or more years of leadership experience.
  • Must have firewall experience with Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate, or other applicable technologies.
  • Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to BioBridge Global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Must have a thorough understanding and hands‐on experience with Cisco networking and security technologies, including administration of enterprise routers, switches, firewalls.
  • Must have knowledge to develop architecture, design specifications of network components, and actively participate in peer review of other platform components network hardware including routers, switches, and security appliances.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with LAN, WAN and routing technologies including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, multicast, QoS, VLANs, and Nexus devices.
  • Must have the knowledge to design and implement data center networks to include NX‐OS, Cisco Nexus devices, UCS chassis, iSCSI, VMWare, and storage multi‐pathing.
  • Must have detail knowledge and experience with network security methodologies such as Port Security, ACLs, VPNs (tunneling, IPsec, PPTP, etc.).
  • Must have the knowledge and experience with the design of physical networks including fiber and copper cabling.
  • Must have proven skill in analyzing network problems, performance of fault isolation, problem resolution, and service restoration.
  • Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be capable of effectively collaborate with individuals at all position levels in the organization to identify, understand and communicate their business requirements.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to document work following best practices.
  • Must be able to keep information confidential.
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.
  • Must be professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, creative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently.
  • Must have the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Prefer network security and Solar Winds Orion experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for network procedures and standards development.
  • Manage the configuration and deployment of data networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, data center, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network and security infrastructure devices.
  • Network design including IP addressing, access control, Quality of Service, capacity planning, capacity modeling, and routing and switching.
  • Network monitoring solution such as SolarWinds , NetBrain, Logic Monitor, etc.
  • Configure and maintain client access VPN topologies, such as Cisco AnyConnect, FortiClient, etc.
  • Plan and execute the installation of new networking components to fulfill business requirements.
  • Support the design and analysis of LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN and data center network improvements and enhancements.
  • Track, assign, and management of IP addressing.
  • Network SLA creation and reporting.
  • Ensure changes to network topologies are made with minimal down‐times.
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem‐solving support for network issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual departmental budget and ensure expenses are in accordance with approved funds.
  • Maintain documentation of network configuration, operating procedures, and records relating to network hardware and software.
  • Analysis of new technologies and assessment of feasibility.
  • Configuration of all network and security management software.
  • Analysis of log files and performance metrics.
  • Scheduling and implementation enterprise wide of LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN equipment.
  • Participate in network on call rotation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in other departmental duties as needed.
