About The Position

Directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. Duties will include: Oversight on cybersecurity implementation. Monitor accreditation changes. Monitor changes to baseline lab configuration. Monitor application and operating system patching. Monitor STIG, IAVA, FRAGORD and CTO compliance. Monitor network scanning compliance. Verify System Admin compliance with training and certifications. Knowledge of IT technologies and cybersecurity to give direction to lab(s) on hardware and software to meet lab mission requirements and cybersecurity compliance. Understand and enforce DOD, Navy and NAVAIR cybersecurity policies. Initiate incident response. Candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and has knowledge or experience with cybersecurity. Current secret clearance is required.

Requirements

  • At least three (5) years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • ISSO experience is preferred.
  • BS or BA degree in a Computer Science or "Relevant Technical Discipline".
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: The equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.; or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) certification and three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • At least three (5) years of practical experience in "Relevant Technical Field".
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. repetitively.
  • Current secret clearance is required.
  • Candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and has knowledge or experience with cybersecurity.
