About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Network Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for traveling to job sites to deploy, configure, and support network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, adaptable, and experienced in setting up reliable, secure networks in a variety of environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, field service, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switching, routing, and wireless technologies
  • Experience with enterprise network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)
  • Ability to configure switches, firewalls, and wireless networks from scratch
  • Comfortable working in construction, industrial, or office environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor degree (preferred)
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, ACMA/ACMP, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with SD‑WAN technologies (preferred)
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, low-voltage work, and site surveys (preferred)
  • Experience supporting VoIP, CCTV, or building automation network needs (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Network Deployment & Setup
  • Install, configure, and test network hardware including switches, firewalls, access points, routers, and cabling.
  • Build and deploy wired and wireless LAN environments to meet site requirements.
  • Validate performance, security, and reliability through testing and documentation.
  • On‑Site Support
  • Serve as the primary technical contact during onsite visits for network setup, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and site personnel to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform onsite inspections, equipment replacements, firmware updates, and repairs.
  • Monitor and identify potential network risks and recommend improvements.
  • Provide hands‑on support during network outages or system upgrades.
  • Documentation & Communication
  • Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, and installation documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, stakeholders, and end-users regarding project status and technical resolutions.
  • Follow change management and deployment processes.
  • Travel
  • Travel regularly to regional job sites, including out-of-state travel.
  • Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
