About The Position

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Network Administrator (multiple openings) in Mentor, OH to Troubleshoot and resolve network issues during software implementation. Analyze system logs for troubleshooting and identifying system improvement. Participate in functional and technical meetings throughout the development life cycle. Compose internal documentation with direct oversight from team members that reflects processes and system configuration. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems. Identify and resolve hardware/software problems. Assists in setting up, deployment and automation. Provides internal, cross-functional communication with Cardinal’s Operations teams. Position reports to the Mentor, Ohio office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a network engineer-related occupation.
  • Network technologies, including F5, Cisco, Palo Alto.
  • Load balancers, routing, switching, dynamic routing protocols, certificate management, LAN/WLAN/WAN support, technical customer support experience.
  • NG firewalls (access control lists, VPNs (GRE, IPSEC, RA), and traffic analysis (traffic logs and PCAPS).
  • Ability to monitor and analyze network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark.
  • Hands-on experience with firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto.
  • Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies VLANs, STP, NAT, DRPs and subnetting.
  • Ability to perform firmware and software upgrades on network devices within a highly available environment with minimal downtime.
  • Ability to conduct network assessments and audits to identify common network issues and security assessments.
  • Experienced in certificate management and lifecycle.
