Summary The Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the networks across our manufacturing facilities, call centers, corporate offices, and satellite locations. Ensures high availability, performance, and security of network systems to support business operations and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent technical experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Ability to receive client’s approval to work on contract required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
  • Proficiency in managing Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki or similar networking equipment. understanding of network protocols, subnetting, VLANs, and routing (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Experience with VoIP systems and call center environments (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Gensys, or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing networks, including real-time systems, SCADA, and IoT.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for network performance and security issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to all levels of management and diverse internal and external contacts at all levels in comprehensible terms.
  • Ability to share knowledge and experience and to provide helpful advice to other team members.
  • Observational skills to validate data obtained via log files and network scanning.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software conflicts and issues in a 24x7 uptime environment
  • Ability to provide detailed and summary documentation for various purposes and audiences.
  • Ability to travel to field offices, both in Colorado and in other states.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SD-WAN and wireless networks in distributed environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or PCI DSS preferred.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, CheckMK, or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to automate routine tasks using scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Network Administrator installs, configures, and maintains routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitors and optimizes network performance to ensure uptime and reliability across all sites.
  • The Network Administrator implements network redundancy and disaster recovery solutions to support business continuity.
  • Supports real-time production systems and ensure network connectivity to manufacturing equipment and IoT devices.
  • The Network Administrator troubleshoots and resolves latency or connectivity issues impacting production workflows.
  • Collaborates with operations teams to address specific manufacturing requirements and constraints.
  • The Network Administrator maintains VoIP systems and ensures reliable call handling and routing.
  • Addresses bandwidth issues, call quality concerns, and other network-related call center challenges.
  • The Network Administrator works with vendors and service providers to resolve telephony and network issues promptly.
  • Supports end-user devices and corporate office infrastructure, including VPN, LAN/WAN, and remote access.
  • The Network Administrator manages secure connectivity for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handles network documentation and reporting for audits and compliance.
  • The Network Administrator deploys and maintains secure network connections for remote offices, ensuring seamless integration with corporate resources.\Provides remote troubleshooting and on-site support (as needed) for satellite locations.
  • The Network Administrator implements and maintains network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection. Performs regular audits and updates to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • The Network Administrator protects sensitive data by maintaining encryption protocols, access controls, and secure network configurations.
  • Coordinates with IT teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of network systems.
  • The Network Administrator documents configurations, network architecture, and incident response plans.
  • Provides end-user training and support for network-related systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
