We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator to provide IT support for RDT&E (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation) networks at NSWC Crane. Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually.
Requirements
- DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level III Certification required (CompTIA CASP+, CCNP Security, or CISSP)
- An Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with F5 services (APM, SWG, GTM, LTM), Cisco ISE (including posture modules), and Cisco Firepower
- Knowledge of network mapping tools (e.g., RedSeal), Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA Center, and Azure Cloud Environment
- Proficiency with dynamic routing protocols BGP and OSPF
- Strong skills in network monitoring, security, and performance optimization
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining network architecture, including border security, SDN, WAN/LAN, and remote site hardware
- Configuring network devices and maintaining accurate documentation, including diagrams and asset inventories
- Monitoring network performance, managing capacity, and ensuring SLA compliance through regular reporting
- Troubleshooting hardware/software issues and implementing security protocols
- Managing system updates, patches, and fixes
- Responding to service requests and maintaining detailed records in ticketing systems
