• Specialty: Neonatology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Spartanburg, SC • Service Setting: Inpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Call only • Call Schedule: 24 hour call • Call Type: Beeper • Patient Demographics: Neonates (NICU and well-baby population) • Patient Volume: -25–29 babies • Annual deliveries: 3,400–3,900 • Admissions: 370–400 NICU admissions annually • Rounding included: Yes (NICU and well-baby rounding) • Required to Supervise APPs: Yes (NNP night coverage support) • Physician in Practice: 3 Family Medicine Residency and MFM group • Support Staff: NNPs (night coverage) • Specialty Backup: -Cardiology, -Surgery, -Ophthalmology, -Maternal-Fetal Medicine • Case Mix: – Level III NICU acuity – High-risk neonatal cases – Well-baby care • Procedures: – High-frequency ventilation – Hypothermia therapy – General neonatal critical care management • Beds in the Dept: 35-bed NICU • NICU level: III • Other Info: Well-baby rounding 2 weeks out of every 4 weeks • Hospital Privileges required: Yes • Temporary Privileges available: Yes • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements
- Active SC medical license
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Minimum of 1 Year's Post Fellowship Experience
- 6 Months clinical Experience
- Self-Query NPDB report not more than 30 days old
