About The Position

Neighborhood Lead Citizens Wealth Management offers innovative solutions tailored to high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations. We are seeking a motivated individual with a deep understanding of data governance and architecture to join our Wealth Delivery team and help build a state-of-the-art platform. This role operates within the Agile Neighborhood framework, guiding cross-functional teams and aligning Wealth data strategy with enterprise objectives. This individual will lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of data products, including data lakes, warehouses, APIs, and self-service tools. Position Overview: We are looking for a results-driven leader with expertise in Wealth Management data architecture and governance to lead our data programs. This leader will have a collaborative, customer-centric, digital-first mindset and drive the creation and implementation of innovative data solutions to enhance the experience of clients, advisors, and stakeholders. This role focuses on optimizing technology innovation and delivering modernized, governed data solutions that enhance the core enterprise data architecture to meet the evolving needs of a multi-faceted wealth business.

  • Experience: More than ten years of proven experience leading and coaching teams to execute multiple concurrent technology deliverables within Wealth Management. Strong skills in program and product management.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, data governance, enterprise data management frameworks, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency with agile tools like Jira and Confluence. Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, APIs and BI tools.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Adaptability, empathy, and leadership skills to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Wealth Management Platforms: Extensive first-hand experience in delivering innovation with Wealth Management Technology Platforms. Proven history managing multiple large, complex products.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams to execute multiple concurrent deliverables.
  • Design Thinking: Knowledge of design thinking and process reengineering.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Understand and execute the vision for data platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, enterprise architecture and technology capabilities. Translate the vision into concrete themes and initiatives. Define and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned with business goals to neighborhood.
  • External Data Integration: Lead efforts to optimize and govern data feeds from external custodians, financial carriers, and third-party partners and integrate these into a scalable and compliant data architecture. Help ensure robust data transmission protocols, reconciliation processes, and monitoring frameworks are implemented and regularly reviewed. Partner with vendor management, legal, and compliance teams to ensure data contracts and SLAs are aligned with business needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Leading Experience Owners: Collaborate with Experience Owners (EOs) from cross-functional teams to ensure customer-centric mission integration. Partner with EOs and stakeholders for discovery and analysis of new initiatives. Serve as an escalation point for higher-level vision and requirements questions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to inform product decisions and balance user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Synthesize data and research to drive product development and enable digitization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with enterprise data architecture, data engineering, governance, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions. Facilitate solutions across the organization, identifying and prioritizing cross-journey enablers.
  • Platform Alignment: Oversee technology and platform alignment of journeys and experiences from multiple pods. Manage platform resources, support, and budgets.
  • User Journey Alignment: Align user journeys to a comprehensive customer experience. Carry feature demand and requirements for future release plans, features, and platform upgrades.
  • User Stories & Backlog Management: Facilitate release planning, prioritize initiatives and epics, and manage the neighborhood roadmap and product backlog. Ensure alignment with Town Objectives and Key Results to ensure delivery of the most impactful products and services. Collaborate with enterprise data partners and Experience Owners on documenting key stories and strategic development. Ensure user stories and backlog items incorporate enterprise data standards, definitions, and quality requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Address issues during projects, document dependencies, and raise initiative or vendor challenges. Collaborate with Town Leader and influence partners to overcome impediments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage regular retrospectives and feedback loops. Support Pod ceremonies like daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Facilitation: Participate in Town and neighborhood ceremonies and collaborate Town Lead with other leads. Provide direction on solution development, testing, and refinement in an agile environment.
  • Process Optimization: Improve processes for better team efficiency and develop pod mobilization plans and refine pod charters.
  • Training & Coaching: Train and coach team members, equipping them with the right tools and coaching to succeed.
  • Performance Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and ensure deliverables have a substantial impact on outcomes.
  • Change Management: Lead efforts to ensure smooth transitions for new initiatives and secure funding, being accountable for the realization of ROI for projects and programs.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement culture through coordination with the Town Leader and other Neighborhood Leads. Partner with other Neighborhood Leads to combine our domain knowledge to make sound business decisions when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. Partner with Town Leader and Town Manager to secure funding for projects and programs. Facilitate and maintain release planning at the neighborhood level. Lead Agile teams and ensure delivery of agreed-upon standards for quality and acceptance criteria. Provide direction on solution design, development, testing, and refinement in an agile environment. Facilitate solutions across the organization, identifying and prioritizing cross-journey enablers. Develop pod mobilization plans and refine pod charters with associated resourcing needs. Conduct analyses related to town operations (e.g., identify dependency, assess impact of vendor change on system rollout schedule, etc.).
