About the Group About Our Group and The Role The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) team is part of our Enterprise Quality organization that focuses on ensuring part integrity and compliance to engineering type design by utilizing non- destructive methods (UT, ET, MT, PT, and RT) to test our aircrafts and parts during production. In addition to the NDT Methods, technicians utilize, Solumina, SAP, and Microsoft Suite. Our Techs work with many cross functional teams and suppliers, strong communication skills are required. Our NDT Engineer Specialist will also be writing Quality Test Reports (QTR's), reading blue prints and Catia drawings. Technicians in NDT work different schedules, flexibility to work different schedules is necessary. About the Role Required Qualifications Certified in one NAS 410 NDT method required Preferred Qualifications NDT certification in Ultrasonics (UT) and/or Eddy Current (ET) Ability to read blueprints and Catia drawings Microsoft Office programs, to include Excel, Power Point, and Access Solumina SAP Automated NDT Testing Equipment (Squirter/TTU; Immersion) Other If selected to go through the hiring process, the applicant will need to provide NDT supervised OJT logbook with signatures and NDT formal training certifications as part of qualifying for the role. As a production team member, Technicians work varied shifts, unscheduled overtime (if needed and approved). Any other certification exams will need to be completed within a reasonable period of time (typically within one month of start date) UT experience is preferred. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of NDT related experience required.. Certified in one NAS 410 NDT method required. and must be able to be certified in a second method within 1 year. Other Certification in more than 1 NAS 410 NDT method preferred. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred. Position Purpose : In a team-oriented environment, performs all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies and installations are built to type design data.
