About The Position

We are seeking a Level II Shear Wave Ultrasound Technician (UT) to join our team. This role is responsible for performing nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in diverse field environments.

Requirements

Level II certification in Shear Wave Ultrasound (UT).
2+ years of experience performing NDT inspections.
Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, codes, and industry standards (ASME, ASTM, API, AWS).
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work in field and industrial environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights.
Must pass an FBI fingerprint-based background check.

Nice To Haves

Additional Level II certifications in other NDT methods (MT, PT, RT, VT).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Effective written and verbal communication for reporting and client interactions.

Responsibilities

Conduct NDT inspections using Level II Shear Wave Ultrasound (UT-SW) and potentially other certified methods (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT).
Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, and other industry standards.
Prepare accurate reports detailing inspection results and findings.
Assist in training and mentoring NDT Technician 1 personnel.
Perform equipment calibrations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Work directly with engineers, project managers, and clients to communicate findings and recommendations.
Maintain detailed records and documentation of testing and inspections.
Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific requirements.
