Requirements

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Have a minimum of one year's experience in preschool teaching
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree
  • Be actively pursuing either NC Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) or Preschool Add-on Standard Professional II licensure
  • Qualifications must include one of the following: an NC Initial Provisional Lateral Entry B-K License, a North Carolina K-6 license with a provisional Preschool Add-on license, a license from another state accompanied by an NC Provisional B-K license, or a degree in a related field that qualifies you for an NC Initial Provisional Lateral Entry B-K License

Responsibilities

  • Oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children and their families, fostering strong bonds and supporting their comprehensive development.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that encompass a broad range of developmental areas including physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor the children's progress towards School Readiness Goals.
  • Tailor the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with disabilities.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure and clean environment by adhering to strict procedures for hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
