About The Position

The lab assistant is responsible for the set-up and take-down of materials for biology and/or general chemistry courses and other duties as assigned by the Natural Science Laboratory Supervisor.  Work with lab course instructors and with other lab assistant personnel.  Prepare lab materials and restock as necessary throughout the week.  Maintain the biology and/or chemistry lab spaces.  A general knowledge of biology and chemistry laboratory procedures is preferred.

Requirements

• Applicant must have successfully completed at least 8 semester hours of college-level biology or chemistry courses with a grade of B or higher
• Applicants must provide copies of college transcripts
• Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required.
• Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes.
• The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.

Nice To Haves

• B.S. in Biology or Chemistry, preferred.
• A general knowledge of biology and chemistry laboratory procedures is preferred.
