One Natural Resources Technician (Seasonal Worker, Full-time, 40 hours/week) position is available with the Colorado State University (CSU) Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position will provide entry-level training and experience on a range of natural resources projects supporting the Natural Resources Management (NRM) program at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The position will focus on a variety of objectives that support the INRMP. This includes but isn’t limited to wildlife and plant surveys such as breeding bird point count surveys, assessing presence of owls and nightjars (MOON) surveys, bear presence surveys (via game cameras), and T&E and rare plant surveys and monitoring. Other projects include establishing and monitoring drift fences with game cameras and educational trail maintenance. Other tasks include data collection, data organization, and data entry. This position is not-to-exceed 148 working days. Potential work activities may include but are not limited to the tasks listed below: Breeding bird point count surveys MOON surveys Data entry Drift fence establishment and monitoring Bear surveys T&E plant monitoring and surveys This position is onsite, and the Natural Resources Technician must have reliable transportation to the site. The ECDP is unable to provide relocation or housing stipends.
