About The Position

Our client in the agricultural equipment manufacturing industry is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead and scale a national sales team while maintaining strong relationships with national retail accounts. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales leadership, account development, and direct engagement with buyers, executives, and merchandising partners across major retail channels. Ideal candidates will thrive in a relationship-driven, non-corporate environment and bring a deep understanding of how products move through retail and dealer networks. Success in this role requires balancing big-picture sales strategy with real-world execution, coaching a geographically dispersed team, and serving as a trusted partner to customers who value consistency, service, and operational follow-through. Requirements

  • 7+ years of Sales experience required
  • 3+ years of Sales Management experience required
  • Experience calling on retail locations or dealer networks required
  • OEM tractor, tillage, farm, off-road, or mobile equipment sales experience required
  • Mechanical aptitude required

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 7-region sales team and set clear goals & KPIs
  • Build relationships with buyers, VPs, and C-suite at key accounts
  • Win new national retail accounts and expand existing chains
  • Design and justify annual sales plans and forecasts to leadership
  • Present sales, revenue, expense reports, and outlooks regularly
  • Identify market shifts and competitive moves; adjust tactics fast
  • Organize and staff trade shows; support product launches
  • Coach field teams on store execution, merchandising, and service
  • Partner with ops/merchandising on inventory and delivery issues
  • Travel with reps ~14 weeks yearly; lead during peak show seasons
