About The Position

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized leader in engineering and architecture consulting, is seeking a highly motivated National Pipeline Practice Leader. With over a century of engineering excellence and a commitment to solving our clients' most complex challenges, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding water/wastewater services team. This role will offer expert technical support and problem-solving services to our clients, addressing challenges in water/wastewater pipeline collection and conveyance while driving the development of innovative and advanced solutions through emerging technologies and dedicated research efforts. You will have the unique opportunity to lead a team of talented professionals in an environment that thrives on creativity, autonomy, and continuous learning. Here, your work will not only contribute to advancing the field of pipeline design but will also have a tangible impact on advancing the growth and improving public health of our communities. Arlington or Dallas, TX are the preferred locations for this position; however, any location in Texas is available. Occasional travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • PE license in any state

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the lead technical expert in pipeline design
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to junior staff
  • Creating/identifying opportunities to work with other departments/business units within the company
  • Leading identification and sharing of foresight, innovation, and technology trends for our One Water group
  • Having a presence both within Mead & Hunt and in the pipeline engineering community
  • Making recommendations to management regarding technical training needs
  • Monitoring industry trends
  • Coordinating QA/QC for projects
  • Other duties as assigned
