Who we’re looking for Toyota Financial Services CTO Organization is seeking a passionate and highly motivated National Manager, Data Engineering, Analytic Platforms & Shared Service Data Products. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the strategy, development, and execution of analytical tools, platforms, and shared data products, driving technology initiatives and mentoring teams. Reporting to the General Manager, Data Engineering, this role supports the CTO Organization’s objective to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative data engineering solutions for Toyota Financial Services.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree (BA or BS) required; 10–15 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or similar field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to leverage data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience (5+ years) with analytical tools, data pipelines, reporting, and visualization platforms.
  • Experience building software products and managing data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java for building microservices and APIs.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; ability to bridge business and technical concepts.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift).

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MS or above).
  • AWS Solutions Architect or similar certification.
  • Snowflake Data Engineering or similar certification.
  • Experience in database platforms, software/data testing, and designing/architecting data systems.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud migration.
  • Exposure to big data concepts (Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks).
  • Demonstrated experience owning, building, and managing a platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for analytical tools, database platforms, and reporting solutions.
  • Design and implement frameworks for self-service analytics, including notebooks, natural language tools, and visualization platforms.
  • Enable multi-tenant database capabilities for global Toyota Financial companies.
  • Deliver generative AI solutions to accelerate data analytics and understanding.
  • Oversee analytic platform teams, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
  • Align technical and business stakeholders to drive outcomes around analytic platforms.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing data engineering team, ramping up from 6 to 12–15 resources.
  • Drive training, development, and recruitment for data platform teams.
