About The Position

As a Manager of Date Engineering, you will be focused on writing code and assembling large, complex sets of data using various technologies. You will be a part of the data processing team, focused on code optimization, in addition to other day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements

2 to 3 yrs of experience in Databricks
Advanced SQL coding (must), tuning, and query optimization, especially within cloud-based data warehouses Amazon Redshift.
1+ years of Python coding experience.
Ability to lead other Data Engineers.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak and write professionally.
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to service clients, partners and internal stakeholders by understand their needs, translating those needs into creative solutions, and delivering on those solutions with diligence and a sense of urgency.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in leadership and contributing to tasks “hands-on”.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and coding techniques.
Digital media experience, particularly experience working in ad tech industry with a data-centric role plus.

Responsibilities

Write application and database code based on business requirements or user stories, architectural requirements, and existing code using both Databricks and AWS redshift.
Design, development, and enhancement of data models Databricks and AWS redshift.
Modify and improve data engineering processes to handle ever larger, more complex, and more types of data sources and pipelines.
Work as part of the data processing team and on performance tuning and optimization, query optimization, index tuning, caching, buffer tuning and data archiving strategies.
Estimate and plan development work, track and report on task progress, and deliver work on schedule.
Ensure all deliverables are high quality by setting development standards, adhering to the standards and participating in code reviews.
Mentor, support and manage team members.
Keep up to speed on new and emerging technologies and products that will be of interest to our clients
