About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as a Client Portfolio Manager for our Captive Insurance division based out of our Atlanta, GA office. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will lead daily operations from a support and administrative level, coordinating complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution. We will count on you to: Manage a portfolio of key captive insurance clients, overseeing full-cycle accounting activities and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Lead, coach, and mentor an accounting team, driving their development, performance reviews, and career goal setting. Independently resolve complex client situations, participate in fee negotiations, and collaborate with third-party service providers. Organize and lead board and committee meetings, prepare materials, and actively contribute to client relationship management and business growth initiatives. Drive global projects focused on best practices, policy development, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in GAAP and regulatory compliance related to captive insurance accounting.
  • Proven experience managing complex client portfolios and leading accounting teams.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to independently resolve client issues.
  • Experience in client negotiations, including fees and service provider coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to strategic team goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience participating in or leading RFP presentations and marketing growth initiatives.
  • Background in developing standardized financial procedures and internal controls.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively engage clients on regulatory trends and best practices.
  • Experience working on global projects and collaborating across diverse teams.
