About The Position

The NAM has a hunter mentality and enjoys the challenge of prospecting, identifying, and winning over independent retail customers. Also, NAM will have responsibility for account management of existing accounts. Operating within a fast-paced, technology-based environment, the NAM will have the support of an experienced team of co-workers in Marketing, Customer Support, Product Management, and Technical Support. The successful NAM will combine prospecting, new customer acquisition, and customer support with the focus on building a sales pipeline. Innovation is at our core, and the NAM will play an integral role in helping us provide intelligent solutions for the retail market (Electronic Article Surveillance, RFID, Software). Checkpoint provides software, hardware, labels, tags and connected cloud-based solutions, and you will help to deliver projects that may span across all our business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B capacity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen interest in technology
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Not afraid to escalate situations to others when necessary
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change with competing demands
  • Ability to work independently and to perform well under pressure
  • Able to travel locally or regionally when needed, up to 75%

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Sales courses a plus
  • EAS and RFID sales experience is a plus
  • Prior retail experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in competitive situations

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate executive level relationships within key accounts to produce substantial and profitable revenue growth annually.
  • Foster a long-lasting, positive working relationship between key clients and Checkpoint.
  • Focus on prospecting new business and bringing on new customers by utilizing available data and other information.
  • Manage conflict and utilize effective negotiation and sales strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis to better understand financial and competitive needs of key client(s); perform research to anticipate future client needs.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to keep management updated on key progress indicators.
  • Devise strategy to effectively close the sale of new products to existing and new client(s) and determine a mutually beneficial pricing structure for the new and current products.
  • Proven ability to accurately forecast demand for Checkpoint products
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and activities in the industry, new products, and improved selling skills.
  • Provide market and industry intelligence to both Marketing and to upper management.
  • Ensure value is delivered to the customer from sale through installation to service.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency of products, and accurately present and sell the benefits & features to prospective customers.
  • Prepare written presentations, reports, price quotations, and RFP’s.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and seminars, as approved; attend internal meetings and training as required.
