About The Position

The Golf National Account Manager will manage relationship development, sales growth goals, account sales planning, and strategy for SiteOne Landscape Golf National Accounts. This position calls on national accounts and the ideal candidate can live anywhere in the US with easy access to any of the major airports. What you’ll do: Manage sales growth and business development for SiteOne’s Golf Accounts. Develop a strategy to build a West Division Golf sales team and ultimately manage a team of reps. Proactively identifies and pursues new business opportunities/Golf National Accounts. Represent SiteOne as the “Ambassador” of our Golf Business Unit. Negotiate sales contracts that build year over year sales growth. Work closely with SiteOne Regional Vice President’s to grow underserved markets. Serve as informal leader for a cross functional team to develop sales strategies. Maintain accurate sales records with Golf National Accounts. Create and implement National Account Sales plans that drive share and margin for SiteOne sales. Collaborate directly with our vendors to ensure our best cost position. Work closely with marketing, category development, procurement, and credit to ensure the customer receives world class service while also ensuring SiteOne goals and objectives are achieved. Maintain knowledge and awareness of the competition, key competitor employees, market size, and market conditions and trends within larger, more complex markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic sales role managing customers at a national level
  • 10+ years in the golf industry with experience managing territories and / or customers in California
  • Experience developing and managing a sales team
  • Proven record of successful negotiating and selling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate a value proposition at high levels and leverage region expertise to win profitable new business.
  • Working pest control industry or agronomic sales experience required
  • Experience in communicating with executive leadership.
  • Experience in developing and executing customer incentive programs.
  • Excel and PowerPoint experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of various landscape product categories is helpful but not required.
