This role is responsible for driving revenue, profitability, and operational excellence with these critical partners. The Account Manager will serve as the primary business contact for Target and Wayfair, developing joint business plans, leveraging retailer-specific platforms, and executing initiatives that accelerate sales and strengthen our category presence. This role will play a key part in shaping the foundation for potential future in-store and omnichannel initiatives, though the business is currently eCommerce-first.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of eCommerce account management experience.
  • Direct experience managing Target and/or Wayfair required.
  • Proven ability to build and scale strategic retail accounts from early-stage or underdeveloped business into meaningful revenue growth (Target experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex accounts ($20M+ preferred).
  • Experience supporting omnichannel or in-store strategy development in a build or test-and-learn environment; experience with major eCommerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart.com, or similar marketplaces) is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Wayfair Partner Home and Target Partners Online / Target Plus.
  • Familiarity with additional retailer platforms (e.g., Walmart Retail Link) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills using vendor portals, BI dashboards, and Google Analytics.
  • ERP / PIM experience (NetSuite, Salsify preferred).
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and help build new capabilities from the ground up.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate digital performance data into scalable growth strategies and opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel for account meetings, line reviews, and trade shows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute annual and seasonal account strategies for Target and Wayfair, aligning with each retailer’s growth priorities and category goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchants, marketing, and site merchandising teams at both retailers.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of future in-store and omnichannel strategies, using eCommerce insights to inform assortment, pricing, and promotional planning.
  • Track weekly performance against sales, traffic, conversion, and margin targets.
  • Leverage digital performance insights to identify opportunities that could support future omnichannel expansion.
  • Conduct testing and experimentation to inform broader merchandising decisions.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver high-impact, retailer-compliant digital content.
  • Conduct digital shelf audits to identify gaps and opportunities that may inform future in-store readiness.
  • Support new item launches with scalable content and data foundations that could translate across channels.
  • Partner with supply chain teams to maintain in-stock performance, forecast demand, and mitigate aged inventory risk.
  • Proactively resolve chargebacks, shortages, and fulfillment challenges, including compliance with Wayfair Castle Gate requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Product Development, and Supply Chain to align inventory, promotional, and operational strategies.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting with insights into sales drivers, margin pressures, and category trends.
  • Develop retailer-specific scorecards and action plans for Target and Wayfair.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
