About The Position

The director of National Accounts is responsible for managing, consulting with, and supporting corporate accounts within the HPSI membership. Additionally, this role is responsible for revenue growth through expansion of vendor contacts within current accounts and new business development.   Position Reports to SVP National Accounts, HPSIJob Responsibilities Analyze account needs and provide value-added solutions for their operations Work with vendors, associations, and HPSI affiliate partners to develop and implement strategies to uncover new opportunities and focus Create and implement effective business development strategies Manage the pipeline/sales funnel to ensure opportunities to book to consistently maintain sales expectations Meet regularly with vendors to understand the value of their products and services that would be beneficial for HPSI accounts A member of the HPSI management team and Responsible for revenue growth Collaborate with and support HPSI purchasing consultants Create and implement effective business development strategies for a specific territory Manage the pipeline/sales funnel to ensure opportunities to book to consistently maintain sales expectations. Set the sales strategy for how HPSI will win large sales opportunities, with new and existing members Analyze customer needs and present value-added solutions to key National Account members. Requirements

  • Demonstrated history of exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to write clearly with a high degree of technical accuracy
  • Well-developed verbal ability, including excellent grammar and sentence structure
  • Knowledge of contracts, term sheets and other legal documents, including the ability to read and interpret contract documents and understand business concepts
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, and work under time constraints
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and basic Microsoft Excel (formatting)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • 10 or more years of experience in account management or healthcare operations
  • BS/BA in relevant field, Masters preferred
