About The Position

To coach or assist in running one or more groups for our club swim team. Assist the Head Coach and the Head Age Group Coach in day-to-day operations of the team as needed. Work with the Head Coach and the Head Age Group Coach in developing a seasonal plan, writing daily workouts, and daily on-deck coaching responsibilities as determined by the Head Coach.

Requirements

• Eighteen years or older
• Current USA Swimming (USAS) Coach Certified
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Mentally and physically fit
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with athletes of all ages (5-18)
• Capable of responding calmly in emergency situations
• Competitive swimming experience

Nice To Haves

• Previous competitive club / interscholastic / college swimming experience (preferred)
• Previous coaching and/or advanced swim lesson instruction experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain current safety training and USA Swimming certifications.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance rosters.
• Effective and professional communication with athletes, parents, and other USAS staff.
• Ability to write a seasonal plan for multiple training groups.
• Ability to write age and ability-specific daily workouts.
• Attend meets in which club swim team athletes are entered.
• Other duties as assigned to aid in the efficient and safe operation of the Frisco ISD Natatorium and Training Pool.
